About Us
At Lighthouse, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved. What began as a personal mission has evolved into a trusted support system for care providers, helping them create homes filled with compassion, stability, and quality care.
Founded by Carla and built on over two decades of hands-on experience in residential care, Lighthouse was shaped by her direct work with children, witnessing both their struggles and incredible resilience. In leadership roles, she identified gaps, challenges, and unmet needs but also saw the profound, life-changing impact that skilled, compassionate professionals can have on children’s lives. This inspired the creation of Lighthouse, the name symbolises our mission to be a beacon of guidance in a complex and ever-evolving sector, illuminating the path forward so organisations can create safer, more nurturing homes where children can thrive.
We bring together diverse expertise to create a holistic approach to supporting the development of children’s services, our work is guided by The Lighthouse Model, a well-tested framework designed by Carla and successfully implemented across the sector. We don’t just offer advice, we walk alongside providers, offering hands-on support, expert guidance, and heartfelt encouragement to create effective safeguarding cultures, navigate complex regulations and embed love-led, trauma-informed practices that transform children’s lives.
